Dr Cardoso's writing is at once accessible, informative and inspiring.
Working within the broader field of ITC (Instrumental Transcommunication) she has now dedicated her life to communicating with the deceased using methods involving multiple radios tuned to different frequencies.
Her communicators are regular and she has come to know them well. They give information about 'the next place', and tell us that it is 'much like our own (world) but far more beautiful.'
Anabela goes on to tell readers how to set up their equipment as she does, so as to potentially obtain good results.
Highly recommended as a start point to anyone with an interest in EVP.

It's wonderful to be able to delve into the writing of the pioneers of EVP research, and this book is invaluable. In the early days it was difficult, not only with archaic equipment and a barrage of criticism from The Sceptics, but also from the Catholic church.

BREAKTHROUGH
The famous book by Latvian scientist Konstantin Raudive should need no introduction to any EVP enthusiast, but suffice to say this was regailed as the best publication on the subject.
It has just been re-released in English for the very first time, with forward by Dr. Anabela Cardoso.
An indispensible account of the first true studies into this phenomenon.

THE POLTERGEIST PHENOMENON

Scrupulously researched and presented, this is by far the best volume on poltergeist phenomena that I have read. Without the nonsense and unprofessional whimsy of Film and TV's approach to psychical disturbance, this is solid documentation of real cases studied by experts. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

THE GHOST STUDIES
This book is invaluable for anyone intrigued by 'the paranormal'. I'd also highly recommend it for anyone of a sceptical nature.
Brandon Massullo offers up excellent and intelligent theories as to the tumult of questions posed by this enormous field.

HERITAGE OF A PRISON HMP SHEPTON MALLET 1610-1985

Before Dave Cable's intricately researched work as seen above, this wonderful volume (with two subsequent updates with a brown cover and a red one) are incredibly difficult to obtain, being out of print.
Mr Francis Disney is something of a Shepton legend, being an ex prison officer serving at The Mallet over many years.
This is the very first account of its kind concerning this prison surprisingly, and given when it was written in the 80s and the lack of internet resources etc. I am overwhelmed by the amount of information gleaned by Disney.
There are now as it comes to light, a few discrepancies that for a number of reasons slipped the net, but really enormous credit is due to the first man to pour his passion for this site between two covers.

GLIMPSES OF ANOTHER WORLD: IMPRESSIONS & REFLECTIONS OF AN EVP OPERATOR
This is Dr.Anabela's third book on ITC and EVP, and it is just as riveting. Ideally to be read as the third, but does not necessarily have to be. It is more as the title suggests, Anabela's thoughts on her discoveries over the decades, what her findings imply, and this means within the field of ITC.
Another incredible turn from the godmother of ITC!
